NORTHERN BC WOLF
The grey wolf (Canis Lupus), also known as the Timber Wolf or Western Wolf is a canid native to the wilderness and remote areas of Eurasia and North America. The gray wolf is the second most specialized member of the genus Canis, with a morphological adaptation to hunting large prey, its elusive nature, and its highly advanced, expressive behavior. It is nonetheless a social animal, travelling in nuclear families consisting of a mated pair, accompanied by the pair's adult offspring. The gray wolf is typically an apex predator throughout its range, with only humans posing a serious threat to it. It feeds primarily on large ungulates, although it also eats smaller animals, livestock and carrion.
The Wolf is well known for being one of North America most elusive big game animal. Gillnockies Guides have been successful from time to time in locating and calling in big mature wolves.
