NORTHERN BC WOLF

The Gray Wolf (Canis Lupus), also known as the Timber Wolf is a canine native to the wilderness and remote areas of North America. The Gray or Timber Wolf is the second most specialized member of the genus Canis, with a morphological adaptation to hunting large prey. It is elusive by nature and its highly advanced, expressive behavior has captivated humans for hundreds of years. It is nonetheless a social animal, traveling in nuclear families consisting of a mated pair, accompanied by the pair's adult offspring. The Wolf is an apex predator throughout its range, with only humans posing a serious threat to it and feeds primarily on large ungulates.

The Timber Wolf is well known for being one of North America's most sought after big game predator. We recommend that each hunter carry a tag in the event that a wolf or wolves are spotted during any of our spring and fall hunts. Because of their large range and elusiveness this is an opportunist hunt and is not high success by nature.
